Packaging machinery sector
"PAKMASH" at the association "SOJUZUPAK" - an independent
association of Russian manufacturers and suppliers of packaging machinery and
equipment.
The
"PAKMASH" sector was set up in 1997 and must assist the Russian
commodity producers in meeting their demand for up - to - date packaging
equipment and give guidance to using of local packaging machinery, render
marketing assistance to manufacturers of machinery and equipment e. t. c.
The
"PAKMASH" sector gathers manufacturers, co - ordinates their activity
and renders the information support to packaging machinery.
In
1999 the association "SOJUZUPAK" (sector "PAKMASH") became
a legal C. O. P. A. M. A. member.
According
to the Statute of this organization, only the leading Association of packaging
machinery from each country may become a C. O. P. A. M. A. member.
According
to a general estimate, the sector of Russian packaging machinery unites over
200 enterprises, firms.
Today,
"PAKMASH" sector gathers about 60 enterprise.
Main
centres for development and manufacturing of machines and equipment for
packaging industry of
Optimal
results for Russian packaging machinery have been attained in the area of
filling and packing machines for dry, liquid and pasty products and materials,
closing, vacuum packing and thermoshrink wrapping machines, as well as machines
and equipment for production of packaging products.

In the
second quarter of 2003 the "SOJUZUPAK" association publishes the 5nd
edition of the industrial catalogue "Packaging machinery and equipment.
Manufacturers of Russia 2003 - 2004", over 150 pages. The catalogue
contains the systematic information on over 250 Russian manufacturers of
packaging machinery and equipment as well as on firms rendering services in
packaging industry. Other catalogue sections contain the classification of
machines with reference to the name of manufacturing firms, alphabetic list of
manufacturing firms, services of organizations, firms in packaging branch.
